Corinthians announced a new agreement with Indigo for the management of the Neo Química Arena parking lot. In addition to the adjustment in the participation of the liquid revenue generated by the space and the forgiveness of a debt, the company will also finance the expansion works of the East Superior sector of the House of the People. The investment, according to the club's estimate, will be R$ 7.5 million. The information is from Meu Timão. As reported by the report, Indigo accepted to cover the construction of about 2,000 new seats in the expansion of the East Superior stadium. The interventions still depend on the approval of the safety reports by the competent authorities. Unlike the provisional structures used in the 2014 World Cup and NFL matches, the installation will be definitive and made of masonry. Corinthians plans to expand the capacity of the House of the People to 51,000 spectators. Currently, the stadium holds 48,905 people. The new contract will have a validity of 12 years and will provide for the transfer of 35% of the monthly liquid revenue generated by the parking lot to the club of Parque São Jorge. The agreement also includes the forgiveness of approximately R$ 2.5 million in debts that the club maintained with the company responsible for the operation of the space. From 2030, Indigo will also pay around R$ 13 million to Corinthians for the use of the area, as disclosed by the alvinegra board.
