Corinthians celebrates campaign in Copa das Campeãs and highlights Brazilian football evolution. The Corinthians women's team successfully competed in the tournament, despite the short preparation period. Ana Vitória, the team's midfielder, was one of the main reinforcements for the Corinthians Feminino in the 2026 season. Contracted in January, the player arrived at the Timão to compete in the Copa das Campeãs, which brought together all the continental champions from the previous year. In an exclusive interview with Meu Timão, Ana Vitória spoke about the competition. Ana began by highlighting the preparation period in England and talked about the study of the opposing teams. Despite not having a previous edition of the tournament, the Corinthians player revealed that it did not make a difference for the team. "You can't look at previous competitions, but you can study the teams you'll play against. They're reference teams, just like we are, I understand. And then you prepare game by game. Obviously, there's an emotional load of a World Cup, a competition we've dreamed of for many years", she said in an exclusive interview, which can be watched in its entirety on the YouTube channel of Meu Timão. She also emphasized that the period was short due to the calendar. The Timão arrived in London on January 21, just a week before the match against the Gotham FC, from the United States. "But our preparation was very short due to the calendar, which was quite chaotic. But it was very good, very intense. A very well-done strength work. Inside the field, a very well-done physical work. And I think we did a great competition", she reported. The player also added that she sees, in the near future, that South American teams will be able to face European teams, recalling that the final against Arsenal was decided in extra time. In the next edition, if Corinthians wins the Libertadores Feminina again, the Brabas will face Barcelona, from Spain, in the semifinals. "I think it will be possible. I think Brazil has a lot of quality, the players have a lot of quality to be able to face any of the teams. Including, we lost in extra time to Arsenal, which was the current champion of the Champions", she analyzed. Finally, Ana evaluated that the Brazilian National Team is a proof of the sports evolution in the country. The midfielder stated that the Corinthians campaign, as well as the evolution of the National Team, should make Brazil more respected by foreign football. "Our national team too. Today, I think everyone has a certain fear of playing against our national team. Then that shows the strength of the Brazilian player. And I have no doubt that, with the passing of years, we will become even more firm and conquer that respect abroad and leave it more affirmed", she concluded. Speaking about the National Team, Ana Vitória was called up by Arthur Elias for a training period that will take place between June 15 and 20 in Itu, interior of São Paulo. Alongside her, six other Brabas were on the list: the goalkeepers Nicole Ramos and Ana Morganti, the right-back/forward Ivana Fuso, the midfielder Andressa Alves and the forwards Jaqueline and Jhonson.
